Hello.

I'm trying to particle tracking using DPMFoam.

At this time, I would like to use the flow field distribution obtained by utilizing other programs as an initial condition.(I would like to put in the flow field of the entire, not the inlet condition)

but I don't know how to do it because I don't have enough basic skills.

I read a similar post on the forum, but I think it's a little different from what I want. (How to put an already-obtained velocity distribution as initial condition???)

Please let me know if there is anything I can refer to.

Hello,

If you have the same mesh on both cases, you can simply copy the fields of the last timestep/iteration of your first simulation (U, p, etc...) in the 0 directory of your DPMFoam case.

Or you can use the mapField utility: https://doc.cfd.direct/openfoam/user...-v10/mapfields

I hope this helps,
Yann
