Getting negative temperatures after repeating simulation

Hello,
I am using rhoCentralFoam for my PhD project and I am still learning how to use it properly. The flow is a supersonic jet with shockwaves. After getting a somewhat succesful siumulation I tried doing more with different conditions, but kept getting negative temperatures, and the simulation was killed. I tried retracing my steps and I am now trying to run the same case I had already gotten a solution from, and I am getting negative temperatures after only a few timesteps. Is this an issue anyone has encountered? Why would running the same case twice give a completely different outcome? I am using rhoCentralFoam and running in parallel with mpirun. Reagrds, Nacho |

That's a good question - and the simple answer is that it wouldn't. The longer answer would include "... provided that everything was the same". Check your boundary conditions, solver settings etc. and you will probably find a difference in there somewhere.

Hi Tobermory,
You were right, I had a decimal point on the wrong place in the U file. Thank you |
