Dear All,

I'm trying to learn how to use the acutation disk source in OF. I have looked at the manual and I'm trying to adapt turbineSiting tutorial for a very simple case. I just want to have a simple box with acutation disk in it and then continue to build upon that. But already there I encounter problems.

After blockMesh, when I run simpleFoam, I get the following message:

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR: (openfoam-2012)
cannot find file "/mnt/c/Users/Ivan/tutorial/turbineSiting/constant/polyMesh/sets/actuationDisk1"

    From virtual Foam::autoPtr<Foam::ISstream> Foam::fileOperations::uncollatedFileOperation::readStream(Foam::regIOobject&, const Foam::fileName&, const Foam::word&, bool) const
    in file global/fileOperations/uncollatedFileOperation/uncollatedFileOperation.C at line 547.

FOAM exiting

Interestingly I get the identical problem when I try to run turbineSiting tutorial.

What creates polyMesh/sets directory and file for acutationDisk and what is it for?

Any advice will help. If you need more information about the case I can provide it. But what confuses me is that I can't even run the tutorial successfully.

Hi,

The sets should be created by topoSet.
Before trying to run the case manually, have a look at the Allrun file to see what operations you need to do in order to run the case properly.

For the turbineSiting tutorial, there are several operations to run before running simpleFoam : https://develop.openfoam.com/Develop...eSiting/Allrun
