Hello there,
I have always used Fluent for CFD simulations but I'm required now to use OpenFoam. I want to run a simple simulation of an aircraft with a speed of 40m/s. I chose the simpleFoam module with Spalart Allmaras as turbulence model (it's required for the project). Also I will mesh as such the y+ is around 1-2 . So I'm solving the Viscous Sublayer if I understand correctly. What I'm asking is in the above case, I don't need any wall treatment...right? and if not then do I need to specify that in OpenFoam? Right now my nut file in the 0 folder specifies type nutUSpaldingWallfunction; and value uniform 0; There is also a file nuTilda which specifies type zeroGradient; Is this correct? Thank you in advance. |

Have a look at the .../OpenFOAM-8/tutorials/incompressible/simpleFoam/airFoil2D tutorial
