Howdy Foamers:

I am wondering if there exists a reference where the implementation of the OpenFOAM PaSR model is outlined. Especially I wanted to see how they came up with the "Cmix" factor.

Thanks in advance, Gerry.

I have been wondering about the same.

A partial answer only is given here http://mobile.openfoamwiki.net/image...FW6_slides.pdf

I would like to browse the proceedings of all previous openfoam workshop proceedings hoping to find among other the work by Lucccini. Are those available somewhere?

Dear Domenico:

Thanks for your insight. I had these slides from a while ago but missed that bit with the PaSR. Again, I am quite surprised to see that Cmix has an inverse relationship from what its name implies. That is, low Cmix corresponds to shorter mixing time scale, not the other way around. Another sensible way to look at it, if Cmix increases, the reaction becomes dominant by the mixing process.

Incidentally, the Chomiak and Karlsson conference paper referenced in your linked presentation gives a more complete discussion on how the PaSR model is conceived. Here is the DOI: https://doi.org/10.1016/S0082-0784(96)80088-9

Thanks again, Gerry.
