Hello, I am trying to model a three dimensional porous fence using darcy-forchheimer in a RANS run. I have successfully created a cellZone and dropped the velocity going thru to the level I want. How would you treat the TKE? Supposedly there should be almost no TKE convection across the porous fence which will lead to a TKE drop. Since darcy-forchheimer doesn't modify the TKE equation, RANS shows a TKE rise due to the velocity gradient.

So I would like to know whether there is some kind of internal boundary condition that allows U to pass through (like cyclic), and also like a wall for TKE, epsilon and nut.

Thanks!

You are correct that the porosity treatment is somewhat lacking. Often (depending on the porosity values) the TKE should drop and dissipation (on entrance at least) should increase.
