Dear All,

I am trying to simulate a concentric cylindrical burner, the inlet pilot is methene with an equivalence ratio of 0.9, the outer slot is air (co-flow).

I am wondering what combustion model is suitable for this because it seems that reactingFOAM case is for laminar flows and I need to know the model for such cases. Any advice?

Thank you all

Please, can anybody explain how premixed or stratified combustion is modeled in OpenFOAM?

If you'd like to try fireFoam, here is a description that I found useful.

Thank you ingraban! That was so useful, I should try it.

Looking forward to more answers and opinions from others about modeling combustors using OpenFOAM.

I had good experiences with reactingFoam using the PaSR combustion model for turbulent flames and different equivalence ratios.
