Dear All,
I am trying to simulate a concentric cylindrical burner, the inlet pilot is methene with an equivalence ratio of 0.9, the outer slot is air (co-flow). I am wondering what combustion model is suitable for this because it seems that reactingFOAM case is for laminar flows and I need to know the model for such cases. Any advice? Thank you all |

Please, can anybody explain how premixed or stratified combustion is modeled in OpenFOAM?

If you'd like to try fireFoam, here is a description that I found useful.

Thank you ingraban! That was so useful, I should try it.
Looking forward to more answers and opinions from others about modeling combustors using OpenFOAM. |

I had good experiences with reactingFoam using the PaSR combustion model for turbulent flames and different equivalence ratios.
