Hello,
I apologize if this is a silly question, but I am new to OpenFoam. Is there any solver that handles pressure-velocity equations in a fully-coupled manner ? (such as the 'Coupled' option in Fluent, for instance). I can't seem to find any. Thank you ! |

Hi!
There is a coupled solver but only in foam-extend. I'm not so familiar with this but you can find a brief explanation here: http://www.tfd.chalmers.se/~hani/kur...15_NoPause.pdf If you are using the foundation (v5, v6) or the esi group (v1806, v1812) version, you won't find a coupled solver. You can couple only the vectorial quantities. So for the velocity you can solve 3 equation, one for each direction, or you can solve them together, but you can't couple the p and U equations. |
