Hi there,
I'm interested in simulating 2D flow (for water) in OpenFOAM. Can anyone recommend good tutorials or applications for setting up OpenFOAM for a 2D solution. I've tried simflow but that is more aimed at 3D simulations. |

The very simplest case is lid driven cavity. Yo may use transport properties which fit water.
The flow past a plate has the advantage that this is a very well studied case. You find some theoretical solutions fort this - the boundary layer theory form Prandtl and Schlichting. Another important case is the flow past a cylinder. You can learn a lot from this. There is a huge amount of reference material.
