Dear foamers,

Please can you tell me if the solver multiphaseEulerFoam is for steady or transient state?

Thanks in advance

Hi, it is for transient state
I hope that's what you need

thank you for your fast reply,

in fact I need it but for steady state.. Is there any other solver similar to multiphaseEulerFoam and that simulate steady ?state?

From a pure theoretical point view, multiphase simulation is inherently unsteady. There is not a pure steady state situation due to the continuous exchange of momentum among phases which is time-dependent. Therefore, it is not theoretically correct to search for a steady-state simulation. However, from a practical point of view, there are solvers where transient terms in the momentum exchange are neglected and therefore a steady-state simulation is reached, but they are very simplified and not implemented in OpenFOAM.

What do you have to simulate? If you add details, I can be more precise even though I am a beginners
