I have run a simulation with steady state solver simpleFOAM, What do the time steps mean in that case?
For example When I try to run the simulation with transient solver such as pimpleFOAM , the time steps generally mean the flow condition at that time instant. |

The time step and the time step size are just dummy variables in the SIMPLE loop. You can set the time step size to 1 (but it should not matter).

Thanks jherb for your quick response
So basically the time instant 10 with time step size 1 is equal to time instant 20 with time step size 2. |
