Dear FOAMers
I have been trying to simulate the effect of propeller via actuator disc. I have been successful in applying the new FVoption function actuationdiscsource. However, I want to couple it with blade element theory. I believe that the FVoption function rotorDiscSource does that. I am not able to figure out how to enter the blade details such as chord and twist distribution and also the aerofoil details at each section. Is anyone aware of this function? I am fairly new to OpenFOAM and also C++, so I would appreciate if anyone could provide any suggestion. Thanks Arjun |

Greetings Arjun,
I've had this thread on my to-do list for quite some time now and only now was I able to quickly look into this. There are already a few threads on this topic, but I can't find any example to work with, therefore I can't help much further than pointing out at least the following threads:
Best regards, Bruno
