Dear everyone,

I am new in using OpenFoam and now I am doing it in my thesis.

My topic relate with cavitation modelling in Diesel injector. My supervisor advices me using cavitatingFoam to solve cavitation applications. I had run some examples by using cavitatingFoam but I can not understand clearly some properties in it.

With all your experiences in using OpenFoam, could you please help me to make clearly in this problem?? (explain to me more detail in cavitatingFoam)

It is really useful to me. However, I think that it is better if you have the same instruction to this document with the cavitatingFoam solver .

Another thing that I have seen is that in Markus Hartingers thesis here:
http://powerlab.fsb.hr/ped/kturbo/Op...rtingerPhD.pdf

He describes the cavitation model he used, he seems to call it the 'Weller cavitation model' and references his contact with Henry, and on an old post in this forum he did say that he was using cavitatingFoam - but this was along time ago so I don’t know how much has changed.
