conjugate heat transfer - temperature at coupled patches

Hello everybody,
I ran the conjugate heat transfer tutorials included in OpenFOAM 2.1.x and noticed a strange behaviour of the temperature fields at the region interfaces. The temperature fields at these coupled patches don't match the adjacent interface boundary values. For example, look at the following tutorial test case: $FOAM_TUTORIALS/heatTransfer/chtMultiRegionFoam/multiRegionLiquidHeater Use the Allrun script and compare the following temperature patch fields using Paraview: bottomWater_to_heater <---> heater_to_bottomWater rightSolid_to_topAir <---> topAir_to_rightSolid heater_to_topAir <---> topAir_to_heater The temperature distribution matches in none of these cases. I tried also the other CHT tutorials, same behaviour. Is there something wrong with the tutorials or do I miss something? I was assuming, that the temperature distribution on coupled patches should be the same for CHT simulations, shouldn't they? Thanks for your help! maHein |

To close the loop on this thread, this was also asked and answered here: http://www.openfoam.org/mantisbt/view.php?id=625
