Hello all,
I am a new begineer of Openfoam with evaporation. After reading some literature, and I found we have sevaral different alpha equations, please see the attached picture. Actually, the eqn.(1) is used in the well-known 'evapVOFHardt' solver. eqn.(2) is used in the interPhaseChangeFoam. eqn.(3) is used in some paper, e.g. ''https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0021999113003197'' One thing I do not understand well is that in eqn.(2), we can substitute the divU equation into the alphaEqn and we can thus have eqn.(3), is that correct? I am looking forward to hearing your suggestions on this issue. And please let me know which one is correct and best for droplet evaporation simulations. Many thanks |
