Hi all,
I have been looking into the immersed boundary method (IBM) solver kit that is installed on OpenFOAM Extend 3.1 to understand the underlying theoretical grounds. As far as I have observed, following two references can be found related to the subject which give only a glimpse of the theory: 1. Tukovic, Z. and Jasak, H., "Immersed Boundary Method in OpenFOAM (ImmersedBoundaryTrainingSlides.pdf)", 7th OpenFOAM Workshop, 2012. 2. Jasak, H., Rigler, D. and Tukovic, Z., "Design and Implementation of Immersed Boundary Method with Discrete Forcing Approach for Boundary Conditions", 11th. World Congress on Computational Mechanics - WCCM XI 5th. European Congress on Computational Mechanics - ECCM V 6th European Congress on Computational Fluid Dynamics - ECFD VI, 20-25.07.2014., Barcelona; Spain. Unfortunately, the information above is not so sufficient to reveal the particular IBM methodology. Would you please give information about which paper(s) explain the theory in detail? If it's not published particularly, prior work that is most similar to Dr. Jasak and Dr. Tukovic's OpenFOAM implementation would also be very helpful. Thank you so much for your concern. Utku |

Hi,
The conference proceedings book is available for download: http://www.wccm-eccm-ecfd2014.org/frontal/Ebook.asp The paper should be somewhere in the book. Regards, Utku |

Seems like the link has changed. This should be the new location:
http://congress.cimne.com/iacm-eccom...ntal/Ebook.asp (It's a Google search result. I have not checked the zipped proceedings file.) Regards, Utku |
