Dears,

I intend to simulate a reacting flow in a porous media. Geometry of that problem as attached includes three regions where the porous media stands between two fluid regions. So I'm trying to add solid temperature equation to rhoPorousSimpleFoam to capture the porous matrix temperature in a reacting flow in porous media.
I have a problem with temperature boundary condition for the porous region. That BC likes this:
Code:
Ks grad(Ts) = h (Ts - Tf)
where Ks and h are known constants and Ts and Tf are solid and fluid temperatures, respectively.

I do not know how to implement such BC for a region that the flow can pass through it. I've read most of posts about conjugate heat transfer, but in all of them there were Impermeable solid region beside a fluid region and the flow could not pass along a porous media.

I would be very helpful if someone can suggest a solution.

I have a similar problem. I also want to simulate the heat transfer between porous media and a fluid. The porous media should heat up the airflow and thereby ist should cool down. I tried to simulate this with chtMultiRegionSimpleFoam and fvOptions "interRegionExplicitPorositySource" and "interRegionHeatTransferModel", without success.

Hi, could you tell me if you could do your simulation? i am workin with porous media and heat transfer, i did a simulation with buoyantSimplefoam and include the porosity with fvOptions. Is this right?
