Hi,
I want to simulate a heated tube (that is able to generate heat) with water flowing inside. How can I add the heat source to the solid region (my tube)? In my case, I am using [J/kg] as unit for the heat source. Thank you in advance your kind help. P.S. I am using OpenFoam 6 Last edited by letoppina; February 8, 2022 at 04:08. |

Hi letoppina,
You can provide heat source term in fvOptions dictionary. This dictionarycan be generated in any region directory in which you want to implement heat source term addition. you can find tutorials for that in : https://github.com/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM...ltiRegionFoam/ |

Hello giulia,
I am not a user of chtMultiRegionFoam. But What I do to add source term is use Su,Sp terms in governing equations,In my case I add the directly in alpha equation or Peqn or Ueqn . |
