Hi everyone!
I have actually 2 questions: 1.First of all I would like to know I could constrain the rotation on the pointDisplacement file. How do I block the rotation on the z-axis? 2.I've meshed a boat in four different patches (for better detailing), but I would like to work with them as if they were only one patch! (for giving the the properties on the 0 file: mass, moment of inertia...). How do I do it? Thanks! |

Hi,
I can only answer your 2nd question: use createPatch to create a new patch from your four existing patches.... Details: https://github.com/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM...reatePatchDict Cheers, Antimony |

Hi Antimony, thanks for the answer!
Your answer helped, but now I've got a new problem :P I used createPatch, and it created the patch in time 0.01. I've copied the polyMesh folder from folder "0.01" to folder "constant", so I would have the patch for time 0 too. But when I run setFields it shows this error message Quote:
EDIT : It worked ! Just needed to edit the setFields file. Now I just need to know how to limit the rotation in the z-axis!! Anyone knows? |
