Dear all,

when I simulate the k-epsilon turbulence model

I did a post-processing about the Reynolds stresses which is called Uprime2mean
However, when I see the result in the paraview, there are 3 variables which makes me confused

first one is just U and next is Umean and Uprim2mean

I know the other two Umean and Uprime2mean which is mean velocity and Reynolds stresses however, what is the first one.

I mean does U velocity mean just time averaged velocity???

I am really appreciate in advance

Hi,

U is just the velocity field solved by the solver. The one you defined in 0 directory.

Umean in the time-average velocity.

Yann
