Dear Foamers,

I am pretty new here, and I would like to ask for your help about a problem of mine. I am doing the tutorials of OF, and there is the multiphase problem to be solved.

After creating everything in damBreak (0, constant, system files), I created a foam.foam to open the paraview on it. My problem is even I am in the right folder, when paraview opens, there is no "Cell Arrays" appearing. So I cannot start to visualize the simulations. (I also checked and followed József Nagy's videos on Youtube)

I attached picture about the situation.

Thank you so much!

Cobus

P.S: I do not know if the picture is there, so I will link it here: https://imgur.com/ibvX3fU

Hi!

Have you started the solver, or you just wanna see the initial field? If you have no times other than 0, you should uncheck the "skip zero time" box. Also make sure if you run your case in parallel, you have to choose "decomposed case" instead of "reconstructed case" if you did not reconstructed your case. (Actually you shouldn't reconstruct since you just eat the space on your disk for no reason.)

Simrego,

Thank you for your help. It turned out to be, my solver was not functioning as it should have been. I need to correct some data and folders.

Also, thank you for the good advises!

Hi all,

Same problem here. The "Cell Arrays" box is just empty while it should display p, U and T. Anyone found a solution yet?

Hi ThomasdeLange,

I faced same problem and i could solve this problem with converting data to a .vtk format using foamToVTK and reloading it. I hope it'll solve your problem
