Hello Foamers,
I need to calculate the dimensional wall distance for each mesh point and write that data as a scalar field into the time directories. To achieve that I have tried writing a custom functionObject, however, I failed to get something going since I am not good at object-oriented programming. If anyone tried this before, I am willing to hear your suggestions. BTW, I am using OpenFOAM v1706. Thanks. Last edited by ustam; March 28, 2018 at 11:22. |

I found a builtin tool to calculate dimensional wall-distance.
All you need to do is; - find "applications/test/wallDist" directory, - compile using wmake command, - then run it in your case file. Actually, it is even calculating the wall distance for moving mesh as well. |
