Hello,
I would like to know how to plot residuals for a parallel simulation with pimpleDyMFoam? I know how to proceed in serie with foamLog but it doesn't work in parallel. thanks in advance, Decibelle |

Doesn't pyFoamPlotWatcher.py work for that purpose?

Even if you don't have administrator rights, you can still install pyFoam as user (or) There is this old thread https://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/op...residuals.html, have a look into it! Regards, Ricky

I work at an university without root rights to my own machine.
What is the difference? You can just download the code and compile it yourself. Then you can "install" it in a directory that you do have rights for. Default installers of software simply try to write to directories that you do not have access to, hence "you cannot install them". And if you don't want to do that, why not ask those people (ICT?) that do have the right to install the software for you? |

I ask at those people since 2 weeks, and I wait, my case isn't priority.
