Hi all,

I had tried to revive an old thread but I thought it may be best starting a new one.

I'm trying to solve the flow around a cylinder problem and I have modified the ControlDict with the forces and forcecoeffs function objects, so I can output the drag and lift coefficients.

When I run the solver, I get the following error:

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR:
wrong token type - expected word, found on line 18 the punctuation token '['

file: /home/murtaza/OpenFOAM/murtaza-3.0.1/run/courseWork/part1/constant/transportProperties.nu at line 18.

From function operator>>(Istream&, word&)
in file primitives/strings/word/wordIO.C at line 74.

The model still runs if I undo the changes to the ControlDict, so I'm sure it has nothing to do with the transportProperties.

Any help would be apprieciated
Thanks in advance.

SOLVED: In the transport properties file, the definition of nu needed to looked something like:

"nu nu[0 2 -1 0 0 0 0]"

I had missed out the second nu :P
random_ran and piu58 like this.
