How can I calculate wall shear stress for laminar flow?

I think I can not use "wallShearStress"

because...

"wallShearStress: Calculates and writes the wall shear stress, for the specified times when using RAS turbulence models."

Can you help me?

Best Regards,

Greetings Vitor,

I sense that the Google force is not strong in you
I used the following search expression in Google:
Code:
site:cfd-online.com/forums wallshearstress laminar
and on the 6th link, I found this thread: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...onsistent.html - there, in post #2 is explained in detail that wallShearStress can also be used when the turbulence modelling is set to "laminar".

Best regards,
Bruno

Hi! I tried running wallShearStress function on icoFoam but it says no turbulence database found. Any idea how to run it on icoFoam?

I have the same problem. I ran a laminar simulation using icoFoam and when I try to run wallShearStress utility I get this error message:

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR:
Unable to find turbulence model in the database

From function virtual bool Foam::functionObjects::wallShearStress::execute()
in file wallShearStress/wallShearStress.C at line 200.

Any ideas on how to computer the wall shear stress on a simulation ran with icoFoam?

As far as I know, wallShearStress can not be calculated with icoFoam

Hello!

I am trying to simulate the jet from a laminar flow pipe. I have not been able to model the geometry to define the two phases of fluids, water and air

Can anybody help me?

thanks in advance

César
