cnsidero is on a distinguished road
The next major version of Caelus, 9.04, was released. This release comes with several enhancements to the library and CPL. Here’s a summary of the new capabilities:
  • Caelus documentation moved to Read the Docs: https://caelus-cml.readthedocs.io
  • Updated thermophysical library [OpenFOAM Foundation]
  • Updated Lagrangian library to a barycentric formulation [OpenFOAM Foundation]
  • Stability enhancements and new non-Newtonian viscosity models [Applied CCM]
  • Automatic parametric simulation using CPL. Using a template case and a YAML-based input file, CPL can setup, prep, run, and post-process multiple simulations for parametric sweeps. Documentation and examples are available at the CPL docs [Shreyas Ananthan]
  • Different Caelus versions can now be run side-by-side using CPL [Shreyas Ananthan]
  • Caelus applications and libraries as well as external applications and libraries can be compiled with CPL. Version specific compilation is supported [Shreyas Ananthan]

The source repository has been updated to 9.04:

https://bitbucket.org/appliedccm/caelus-contributors

If you’re not already familiar with Caelus, you can read more about it on the website. Its free and open-source. The file formats are compatible with OpenFOAM but there have been many improvements to it such that it is now moving independently in its own direction.

Stay up to date with Caelus on Twitter @caelus_cml or Facebook

Applied CCM is currently the maintainer and main developer of Caelus. If you’re interested in porting or developing your own application to Caelus, we’ll be happy to provide guidance. If you’ve developed a solver or model that you would like to include in Caelus check out the contributors repository. Any and all external contributors copyright will be kept in their contributed source files.
