Dear OpenFOAM experts,

I am wondering about mergeMeshes utility and the sitichMeshes utility.

I am planning to "glue" two meshes together. In the OpenFOAM wiki site, the description of mergeMeshes if the following:
---------------------
mergeMeshes adds the cells of two meshes together. It does NOT merge the faces between the two sets of cells. Neither does it check for overlapping cells.

To merge the faces use stitchMesh.
-------------------------------------

So, does it mean that I will perform
mergeMeshes <master> <master> <second> <sencond>

Followed by:
stitchMeshes <case> <case> <patch> <patch>

in stitchMeshes, does it "merge" the faces and also eliminate duplicate nodes?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Pei
