As the title explains, after I run snappyHexMesh and then open the mesh in paraview, all I see is the cuboid I defined in blockMesh. I am a beginner to openfoam and really need to solve this problem urgently. If anyone has any idea as to why this is happening it would help me a lot. I have attached my snappyHexMesh file below. the geometry is literally just a cylinder.

If you get the blockMesh as output, something went wrong when running snappyHexMesh. Could be anything from ill-defined locationInMesh to running out of memory. You have to log the output of snappyHexMesh and post it here or analyse it yourself.

Thank you for your help. I have attached the log file with this reply. I am having problems reading the file to identify the mistake I am making. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

When visualizing your mesh in ParaView, do you move to the latest time step? (time 26)

This is where you final mesh should be.

Oh my it worked. I have spent the last week editing and rewriting files and running the mesh over and over. To think I had not changed it to the final time step . Thank you so much Yann!
