Hi everyone,
I'm trying to do a flow simulation with a 3D .obj Fórmula 1 car. I'm having a problem when I do "checkMesh" having the message I uploaded below. I'm having an error sayingt "Max skewness and 1 skewface detected" which I tried to edit my snappyHexMeshDict file, on the refinementBox having the same level of refinement (6 6). This it's a tip I saw on other guys thread wich was resolved the problem but not for me, I'm still having the same problem. Has anyone any tip for this type of problem? I can not go forward with the simulation without having this correct. Any help is welcome. Thanks! Checking geometry... Overall domain bounding box (-5 -4 -0.134617) (15 4 5.86538) Mesh has 3 geometric (non-empty/wedge) directions (1 1 1) Mesh has 3 solution (non-empty) directions (1 1 1) Boundary openness (-1.05812e-17 -1.24883e-16 9.08509e-16) OK. Have you actually checked if the simulation runs?
Besides that, the first step would be to figure out where the issue occurs. For that you have several options, either let checkMesh put out the quality metric as fields which you can visualize in Paraview directly (I think this is only available in ESI version, not sure). Or you can check the faceSet "skewFaces" that checkMesh wrote with these bad cells and convert that to VTK to visualize in PV aswell. The key is to understand where the issue is and then decide on a strategy to resolve. |
