Hi,
The title says it all. I see this in many documentation and tutorials but not sure what does it exactly mean. Edit: Also not sure what surface features are? |

Hello,
surface features are basically the edges of the surface. For instance on the the motorbike geometry, feature lines in red: In snappyHexMesh you can specify refinement levels on these lines. Feature lines can be extracted from a stl/obj file using the surfaceFeatureExtract (OpenCFD branch: openfoam.com) or surfaceFeatures (foundation branch: openfoam.org) utilities. Yann |
