Dear everyone,

I'm getting a strange behaviour with snappyHexMesh.

I've an obj file that describe a village environment, including a ground mesh, 3d buildings and some trees.

I want to build a mesh above the obj and simulate the wind over the city.

The problem is that sometime (not always, depends maybe on some parameters?) the mesh is not cut above the obj but below, it's like the mesh is the complementary of what i want. (where there is empty space the mesh should be built and viceversa)

Has anyone got in the past similar results?

Hello,

Sounds like your locationInMesh is not always properly defined. The coordinate should point to the volume you want to mesh.

Regards,
Yann

It is exactly how you said, locationInMesh was set in (1,1,1)
In a lot of cases this point was above the ground, therefore i never faced the problem.
In this particular case the ground in (0,0,0) starts with an hard slope, thus (1,1,1) was below the obj

Solved, thank you!
