Hi,

I need to mesh an Internal flow problem (Car Park Ventilation).

How can I mesh a arbitrary shape without using blockMesh. (Please see attached image for your reference).

Another instance, heat arteries, more like pipework, how can I mesh without using block mesh?

If I have to use blockMesh and Snappyhex mesh how do I proceed?

Any help is appreciated.

Hey,

the most common way to mesh this is using snappyHexMesh. The workflow is easy and straight forward (you can also check out my youtube videos). Steps to do:
  • built a background mesh (pure hexahedral mesh)
  • setting up snappyHexMeshDict
  • Start meshing

Easy and nice.
Alternatives, using tetrahedral meshes and Salome or cfMesh
