Hi to all!

I'm working with snappyHexMesh (OpenFOAM v1812) and I would like to generate a mesh for a ALM simulation of a wind turbine.

I have subdivided my domain, which is a box, in regions, which are cylinders. I would like to add layers on the bottom of my domanin which should be the same for all the bottom region of the box. The problem is that each time I generate the grid with the addlayerscontrols it moves in vertical direction the regions (which have to be centered in the origin) by lenght equal to the total height of the added layers.

Any ideas?

This is how most (I dont know of any exception, but maybe there is?) meshers insert boundary layers. They generate an initial mesh, push inside the outer cells to insert the BL.
If you want to avoid that, in your simple case you could try to define the layers already in blockMesh.

Already done that but thanks anyway. Does not looks as the most elegant solution but seems working.
