Hi everyone! I'm trying to simulate an axial flow compressor using the SRFFoam tutorial in the foam-extend 3.2 version, but when I try to export my SALOME mesh from UNV to FOAM, I get the next message:

That error only occurs when I make a volume group named "ROTOR". I almost read some threads here in the forum but Ican't find some solution. Can somebody please help me with this error? I'm really desesperate. Thank you so much for your time and help.

Make sure you don't have any EdgeGroups in the Salome mesh prior to exporting. ideasUnvToFoam will fail if EdgeGoups are present.

However, I have no idea if this is the cause of your problem.



You could also try to use alternative means of exporting the mesh from Salome, e.g.:

The same thing happens in foam-extend 4.1
Did you know what the problem was? Greetings 3 years later.

Hello, my friend! I did not find the solution and I opted to change software and use Ansys Turbogrid. Actually I suppose that the issue refers to software and hardware incompabilities
