Hi all, I am working on a case that looks to model compression in a cylinder as a result of piston motion. At this stage I'm working with basic geometry to develop the piston motion and dynamic mesh.

I plan on using layerAdditionRemoval as a mesh modifier, and I'm just wondering about faceZoneName field. I imported my mesh from ANSYS, and as such I don't have any entires in the faceZone file. I want to use a boundary face for the layer a/r (head_wall in the case folder), but I'm not sure how to go about inverting its normal.

Any help would be great, the case files are attached.

Thanks that's exactly what I'm looking for

I tried to implement the solver by moving files and using wmake, etc., but when I run the case the solver is name is not recognised. I would really appreciate if you could give me a few pointers on implementing it correctly as I also have to do the same on a simulation server.

Thanks again,
Sean

I am using BlueCFD on Windows btw.

Update:

It seems that the issue was caused by the fact that OpenFOAM was being running using blueCFD as it worked perfectly on Ubuntu.

Thanks again
