Hi, I am doing a simulation of moving solid body obstacle within a rectangular fluid domain. I had referred movingCone, movingConeTopoChanger and stirring water case. I found out that all of them are using multiple blocks to create a hollow solid obstacle, instead of deleting the mesh cells by using subset mesh. Is there any reason of using this method?

I had tried subset mesh method but result shows extreme value field data. So, i was wondering is it subset mesh method not working, thus no one using this method.
Extreme value of field data
Another problem is The result doesn't show U, P and turbulence contour as expected (supposed to have high U between domain wall and obstacle wall as in the pic below). elev.jpg
Is it because i use a larger distance between solid obstacle (car) and domain (shaft) wall, so the high U tends not to be focus there? Anyway, the value and contour is really out of my expected. But at least i can see some contour on top, side and bottom of car wall

I want to try multiple block method, but facing error to create block with an internal face. As mentioned in this post below. Can i get some idea on this?

I would be grateful for any comment and suggestion. Thanks
