Hey foamers,

i having not so much experience in OpfenFoam, so i hope you could help me.

i use Openfoam v5 and will simulate a periodic swinging mesh with dynamicInkJetFvMesh. But when i start a simulation, the mesh doesn't move.

My question is did i need an extra file like toposet oder createbaffles or should be adjested my boundarie conditions false?

Thanks in advance!

best regards

Hi Hannes,

You only have to define the dynamicMeshDict in the constant folder.
dynamicInkJetFvMesh is not using a solver to calculate the displacement but rather an explicit function. Therefore, you don't have to define a pointDisplacement or pointMotionUx boundary file.

Take a look at the attached minimal working example (OF 4.x).

cheers
Fynn
