Hi all!
I am trying to perform a MRF simulation of a hyperboloid impeller rotating at 26 rpm in a closed compartment . However, I am facing problems with meshing the corners of the blades of the hyperboloid impeller (see attached figure). The geometry of the impeller is created in Siemens NX, and exported as a .stl file. SnappyHexMesh was used to build the mesh. Dear all,
I am still have problems with meshing the impeller. I tried to change different settings in the surfaceFeatureExtract and snappyHexMesh files without any success. Does anyone know how I solve this problem? Thanks, Sophie |

An easy way to improve this, is to
Most issues with snappyHexMesh are solved by increasing the resolution. |

Increase the min max level of surface refinement on them surfaces. What are your current settings?
