Hello everyone,
I've been trying to implement IBM on the 'fluid' part of the FSI solver. Reviewing some older threads from 2014, I've seen that it has been done. But there are no detailed discussion or explanation of it. Does anyone have a link to a paper or presentation or such that discuss this process? Maybe an example case? I would truly appreciate any comments and suggestions. Regards AH |

I'm working on that too, but I need to know what changes should implemented to icoFsiFoam which can do that. I'm sure the coupling conditions should be changed on the interface that can be capable of Ib method. The dynamic mesh should change, because there is no mesh deformation in Ib method. STL file of the structure should be replaced by the structure mesh. I really need a clue or reference that can do this work...
if you know something please help me..! I really appreciate that Last edited by saeed_hb; May 14, 2017 at 05:22. |

My conclusion was that the implementation of IBM to FSI is not straight forward at this point, and it would possibly require some coding. I decided to not get into the coding part at this time. Please let me know if you manage to get more info on this. Thanks.
