Hello foamers!

I have modified the multi_region_heater tutorial and the final domain is as follows:

The regions are as follows:

Fluid/air:
Top air
Bottom air

Solid:
left solid as top electrode
right solid as lower electrode
heater as dielectric
inner elec as inner covered electrode

Problem#1:

How can I select material properties of each solid region? For example the electrode material is copper and dielectric material is kapton. How can I fix these material?

Problem#2:
In paraFoam, when I activate "include zones" then all above mentioned regions have been appeared in left column under Mesh Parts.

Innerelec region is created by me which was not included in original tutorial. As I create this new zone, so in system directory shall I make a folder name Innerelec manually as there are several folders for each default region created in original tutorial.

Actually after modifying the original domain I have found some more folders like as follows:

How can I identify those unwanted region as shown above domain2, domain3, domain4? In side of these three folders have two blank files name as fvScheme and fvsolution dict files only.

Problem#3:

How can I refine mesh size for each region?

#problem 1

in constant folder, in each zone folder there is a file name called thermophysicalProperties , you can assign material properties there

#problem 2
those folder names create by following command
Quote:
splitMeshRegions -cellZones -overwrite
in fact you should give your zone appropriate name, then splitMeshRegions creates those folder in 0, constant and system for the regions you introduced in topoSet

#problem 3
it can be done with following command:
Quote:
refineMesh -region yourRegionName -overwrite
