[OpenFOAM.org] surfaceFeatures: command not found on WSL2 install v2312

I've googled this but as a newbie I'm none the wiser. I've installed OpenFoam 2312 and tried the pitzDaily tutorial as recommended and that ran fine. Next step was the motorBike tutorial and blockMesh ran fine, but when I type surfaceFeatures I get

surfaceFeatures: command not found

Any suggestions?

Hello,

In the OpenCFD branch (openfoam.com), the utility you are looking for is surfaceFeatureExtract.

In the OpenFOAM foundation branch (openfoam.org), surfaceFeatureExtract has been renamed surfaceFeatures since OpenFOAM-6.

As general advice, be careful to use resources/documentation matching the OpenFOAM branch/version you are using. (or the other way around, install the version matching the resources you want to follow)

I was unaware of any distinction between .org and .com software. I'll look out for it. When googling the tutorials I usually end up on Youtube because I'm not finding the official tutorials sufficiently helpful for a newbie.
