Hi,

I recently got interested in OpenFOAM after using starccm+ for a while. I was able to install OpenFOAM using the docker container on my Mac OS using this link. https://openfoam.com/download/install-binary-mac.php

It works very well. However I came across some tutorials that required FOAM-EXTEND. I tried creating an ubuntu container and copied over the deb file. However it fails while trying to install in the docker container.

Does anyone know how to create a container or a similar installation like the open foam.com website for Mac OS?

Thanks

I recently created a Docker container with foam-extend 4.1 (compiled from the git) https://hub.docker.com/r/bgschaid/openfoam_by_ansible

Haven't tested it thoroughly and the container is without ParaView. Also: only tested it on a Linux-host

Thank you. I’ll try this out. Did you you some tutorials or website to make the docker image?

Update: that ansible link is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing
