Dear All,

I know OpenFOAM-2.2.0 is old version but due to a specific solver that I use is available only with of220.

While installing OpenFOAM-2.2.0 on ubuntu 16.04, most of the things looks compiled fine. But, while running "icoFoam -help" I have been getting the following error:

icoFoam: error while loading shared libraries: libmpi.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The log file of ./Allwmake is also attached with this.

Please help me.

I have finally installed OpenFOAM-2.2.0 with Ubuntu 16.04.

The error was linked to gcc version. OpenFOAM-2.2.0 needs lower version of gcc. I installed gcc-4.8 and made it default gcc. Also, I first removed and then reinstalled g++.

Moreover, I first installed OpenFOAM-2.2.2 as per instructions given by Bruno Santos:

Then, I installed OpenFOAM-2.2.0 with similar instruction as given for OpenFOAM-2.2.2.
