I have used OpenFOAM for couple weeks now and everything worked fine. But I have noticed that in ParaView every time I open the Open File window it gets bigger. At this point I am unable to open any file. I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 on Windows 10 and Xming to access ParaView. The version of OpenFOAM is 5.0 and of ParaView is 5.4.0. I have already tried reinstalling ParaView by typing:
Code:
sudo apt-get purge paraview*
sudo apt-get -y install openfoam5.
Also tried reinstalling Xming. But still, the Open File window extends beyond my screen.

You could try VcxSrv instead of Xming. It is a known problem that secondary windows cannot be resized in (the free version of) Xming.

I actually decided to install Paraview for Windows. Thanks, jherb.

Quick Reply for anyone also experiencing this issue: VcXsrv works well - the Open Files subwindow can be resized and Paraview seems to be fully functional.

Thanks jherb!!
