Hello Foamers,

Relevant details:

• OS: OpenSUSE 13.2
• gcc version: 4.8.3
• cmake version: 3.0.2

I have downloaded of24x today to upgrade from of231, and I am having some issues in the last part where I am supposed to install Paraview. Previously I had always installed from source using the instructions seen here. This time I wanted to try the git repo method of installation, mostly out of curiosity and because I've never used git before. Everything worked great until I reached the steps involved in compiling Paraview.

Here are my steps:
1. test cmake version

cmake -- version

cmake version 3.0.2

2. Compile ParaView

cd $WM_THIRD_PARTY_DIR 
./makeParaView4  2>&1 | tee log.makeParaView4

log file is attached.

3. Compile ParaView plugins

cd $FOAM_UTILITIES/postProcessing/graphics/PV4Readers 
wmSET 
./Allwclean 
./Allwmake

except that after that last line, I recieve:

ERROR: ParaView not found in /home/chris/OpenFOAM/ThirdParty-2.4.x/platforms/linux64Gcc/ParaView-4.1.0

Checking the log file actually shows there are some files/folders missing. I think this may be the source of the error. Does anyone have any idea of what may be amiss?

Hey Bruno,

Thanks for link, that has solved the problem on my system. I didn't see a way to add a note to that bug report, is it possible to add a note saying it worked for me as well?

People don't say it enough on this site, thanks for all your hard work Bruno.

Hi Chris,

No need to add a note to that report. The issue is already known and I think it had been fixed for 2.3.1... I still gotta check what happened for this to happen again. Either that, or I'm confusing with the instructions I write on the wiki...
