Install it from the source pack:
http://www.openfoam.org/archive/2.2....oad/source.php And since it is a similar problem: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...14-04-lts.html Regards Squirrel |

Dear OF users,
by mistake, I update my machine ubuntu version from 13.10 to 14.04. That leads to lose some of my work which were working properly. I Installed OF-2.3.0 for ubuntu 14.04 but for some cases gives me error. How to back to my old ubuntu version? Could you please help me to understand why OpenFOAM cases make some difference from version to another? Kind regards |

Hello Maimouna,
which OpenFOAM Version (2.3.0, 2.2.2 or older) did you use on your old Ubuntu? If you install the same OF Version again, then your cases should work again. Here you can find all the older versions of OpenFOAM http://www.openfoam.org/download/archive.php You probably have to install an older OpenFOAM via Source Pack, e.g. for OF 2.1.1: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...14-04-lts.html Regards Squirrel |

Dear Squirrel,
many thanks for your reply. in Ubuntu 13.1, I actually used 2 versions OF 2.2.2 and foam-extend-3.0. But I couldn't find how to install that two versions in Ubuntu 14.04. That's why I installed another version which is OF 2.3.0. Regards |

Greetings to all!
I've merged two threads on the same topic, namely on the topic of how to install OpenFOAM 2.2.2 on Ubuntu 14.04. In addition to this, allow me to clarify some details:
Bruno
