I installed 1.5, which seems to be the currently available version for windows.

But I cannot find the documentation. The tutorials for 2.2.2 don't seem to work, in particular, I cannot get ParaFoam, or at least, I cannot figure out how to get ParaFoam to open the model.

I am only part-way through the first tutorial, which would be step 2.1.2 here:
http://www.openfoam.org/docs/user/ca...#x5-110002.1.2

Thank you for the help.

Greetings ivan-s,

I guess that when you read this post: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...-openfoam.html - you had already installed the seriously outdated+unofficial port of OpenFOAM 1.5 for Windows.

Quoting from that post:

There you can find several more recent builds, including 1.7, 2.0 and 2.1, by more than one independent group!

I personally suggest that you try blueCFD-SingleCore: http://code.google.com/p/bluecfd-singlecore/ - Disclaimer: I'm the guy who's responsible for its development.
The port of OpenFOAM 2.2 is not yet available, but it's coming soon.

Best regards,
Bruno

Bruno,

Thank you for the help here as well as the help on bug 0890.

I use a Linux box at home and a Windows machine at work, because I have no choice there. My target was the Linux box, but after that became difficult I tried to work on Windows. Now that I have it running on Linux I will probably continue with it there.

But when I run into troubles I will continue to try with Windows.

Thank you. again.

Sincerely,
Ivan-S
