Dear colleagues,

maybe some of you are interested in another guide as of how-to-install-OF-on-my-Mac.

I managed to compile the current OpenFOAM-1.6-ext on my iMac (Late 2013) running on Mac OS X Mountain Lion with Xcode 5.0, MacPorts 2.2.0, and ParaView 4.0.1.

To spare you the hassle of searching for all the tweaks, patches and workarounds, I've thrown everything into a single pdf (*) that guides you step by step through the installation process.

Although the steps apply to Mountain Lion, I've thrown in some comments to adapt to the current Mavericks release as well. When I tried it with Mavericks, some ports failed to compile (e.g. rpm), so I didn't go any further. You may be luckier though. However, I'll keep you updated as soon as that works, too.
