Dear all,
today I published a new Dakota - OpenFOAM coupling tutorial. The tutorial itself is a mixing case of a hot and cold fluid stream with two obstacles. There are three design variables and two respond functions that are evaluated with a Latin Hypercube Sampling (LHS) method build-in in Dakota. The tutorial focus on the coupling and not on the capabilities of Dakota and how to use it for optimization of the respond functions. The user can simple change the Dakotas method and use the respond function for doing a optimization (but it is not the aim of the tutorial). Summing up The three design (geometric) variables are:
The case can be found on my website » OpenFOAM » Dakota Coupling Thanks to Harald Unger for the case idea; I highly appreciate that. I hope that this tutorial will help you to understand the coupling and can apply it to your problems.
