To publicly answer a question I received via email:

Question
{
type blockSolidTraction;
traction uniform ( 0 0 0 );
pressure unifrm 0;
value uniform (0 0 0);
}

What is meaning of block? In what does this boundary condition differ from solidTraction

Answer

When using a solidModel that uses a "coupled" (block coupled) solution algorithm e.g. coupledUnsLinearGeometryLinearElastic, it cannot use the standard boundary conditions e.g. solidTraction, fixedDisplacement and instead must use "block" versions as the current block coupled implement differs significantly in its implementation. As a by the way, I am currently looking at a way that will easily allow all current standard solidModels to be solved in a block-coupled manner without having the change boundary conditions.
